BOOHOO MAN AUTUMN FASHION

I think it’s safe to say Autumn is here! Halloween is around the corner and I’m really looking forward to Bonfire Night.

One of my favourite things to do on a typical Autumn Sunday afternoon is take a walk in the local park (where we end up wishing we own every dog we see) and then go for a drink in a cosy pub or have a nice cup of coffee & a slice of cake in a cafe.

I took my camera with me this week, as I had picked up a few pieces from BooHoo Man recently, and I thought I would share them with you. To be honest shooting this was a bit of a nightmare. The light was rapidly fading and everywhere we went someone came into the shot. Even what we thought were the quiet spots of the park suddenly became populated with excitable dogs, children on scooters playing hide and seek, a breast feeding Mum who was looking for some privacy, a couple making out on a bench and a dose of midges which had a good bite on my legs thrown in for good measure. I guess that’s London parks for you! These people were probably saying the same about the random guy having his picture taken and asking if he needs to suck his stomach in.

This is a really simple, everyday outfit. It takes little thought and is something that you can just throw on before heading out for the day. I think it’s pretty timeless (I’ve seen these jackets come back every year for the last few years) and black jeans are a wardrobe staple for me. I haven’t worn biker jeans before but I was drawn to the detail on these. I like the ribbing on the thighs and the zip detail at the ankle. These are actually by a brand called Brave Soul and the quality and fit is really good.

I’ve teamed them with a denim jacket with Borg collar. It’s fully lined with tartan fabric which gives it an added dimension and extra warmth.. It’s perfect for Autumn when it isn’t freezing cold yet but it’s starting to get chilly. I find that I get too hot if I wear jumpers under coats at this time of year, so I’ll often just wear a t-shirt. I like the plain fitted ones from Boohoo because they have a bit of stretch in them, so they will sit nicely under a shirt or a jacket and won’t hang out around your waist if you want to tuck them into your trousers or jeans. I’ve completed the outfit with a pair of Allsaints boots. I’ve had these for a few years, like many of my leather boots – if you buy quality it will last!
