I feel like this blog post has been a long time coming! If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen my stories have been occupied with homeware purchases, drilling, sorting and decluttering – all with the goal of turning our ‘dumping room’ into a usable office space! I also vlogged the process for you on my YouTube channel.
I feel very fortunate to have a second bedroom in our flat, I’m aware that in London space is tight and not everyone has this luxury. As time has gone on, the room had become more of a storage room than an office or second bedroom, and it was starting to look like a giant cupboard with mess everywhere! I wanted to turn it into a space that we would actually start to use again for more than throwing our coats and shoes into (and hiding junk) so after a big declutter, a lick of paint and some new purchases – our new office was born!
I thought the best thing to do on here is show you the room and detail where I bought, built or found everything incase any of it inspires you! I’ve kept everything as affordable and easy as possible, so hopefully this will be of use to those of you who are on a tight budget!
The room is roughly divided into three areas – Work space with book storage and desk area. Storage area for coats, shoes and day to day accessories, and the window area with mirror and plants! I’ve also kept the floor space clear, so that the room can accommodate a fold out bed if we have a guest to stay.
I hope you like what I’ve done with the room, and if you have any questions please feel free to leave them in the comments below!

Oliver Bonas do the best quirky bits. I recently stopped by and picked up a Moon Phases picture from my local store – I saw the G&T candle when I was paying and I had to have it. I like reading these segments on your blog. Have a great week.
